The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake Gameplay Revealed! - IGN

Get a closer look at gameplay from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake in this latest video for the upcoming remake of the 1998 adventure game. This new gameplay video, led by series producer Eiji Aonuma, showcases Kokiri Village, Hyrule Field, and Hyrule Castle Town. We get to see new, overhauled visuals with reimagined graphics, and new mechanics, including the ability to rotate the camera, jumps which are now done via button presses versus automatically in the original game, dashing, and the addition of new dialogue. We also get a look at dungeon gameplay in the Great Deku Tree, throwing Deku nuts and using the slingshot item to solve puzzles and fight enemies. New features also show that time no longer stops in towns, and day and night cycles will continue. You can also hum songs Link has learned that will play on the Ocarina, and the game will also react to instruments. Additionally, a new feature is Threads of Time, where you can see progress you've made in your story and check your next objective.The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake will be available on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5, 2026.
