Metroid Ravenous UK Preorders Are Live in the UK, Including the £100 Special Edition

Once again, we've had to wait a little bit longer, but Metroid Ravenous preorders are now available for Nintendo Switch 2 for those of us in the UK.

Specifically, this is for anyone who is after physical editions of the game, including the highly anticipated Metroid Ravenous Special Edition that costs £99.99, or the awesome-looking amiibo that will be released along with the game next year.

Update, Sept 10, 1:31 pm BST: Metroid Ravenous Special Edition is already out of stock at Nintendo, lasting mere minutes before selling out.

I'll be keeping an eye out for other retailers, so stay tuned for any changes. Nintendo might also release another wave of stock, so follow IGNUKFinds on X/Twitter for more updates.

The special edition of Metroid Ravenous comes with the game, plus a special Steelbook case and a brilliant-looking Samus (Metroid Suit) amiibo.

More importantly, it's worth noting that this amiibo is exclusive to the special edition and is not available separately. That's pretty huge, so I wouldn't hang around when ordering this edition, as I expect it to sell out fast in the UK (and it did).

Standard editions for the game start from £49.99 for a digital copy, and £58.99 for the physical edition. The game is included on cart, so you've got the game no matter what. Good for ownership, collectors, and any other digital difficulties in the future.

The Samus amiibo is £16.99 , while the Choco Statue amiibo is £33.99 . As I mentioned, these will launch with the game on January 28, 2027.

Once again, Metroid Ravenous is set to launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 on January 28, 2027.

A follow-up to Metroid Dread, it’s a new 2D side-scrolling adventure for Samus, the space-faring bounty hunter.

Metroid Dread got a 9/10 in its IGN review . It's officially one of my favourite games of all time, and I truely can't wait to play Metroid Ravenous.

In the trailer, Samus says, “I was attacked by unknown assailants and sustained grave injuries. I don't know where I am, getting back to the surface won't be easy."

"My chances of getting off this moon are slim at best. Still... I will survive. And I will make it home. Even if I have to feed on my enemies to do so. It's eat or be eaten."

This very much looks like Metroid Dread 2, with Samus look just as brutal and animalistic as she was at the end of the last game. I'm fully on board for this.
