No, I Have Not Seen Jason’s Penis in GTA 6

There are many things we at IGN expected people to take away from our big interview with Rockstar North about Grand Theft Auto 6 . The fact that I may or may not have seen protagonist Jason Duval’s penis was not particularly high on that list.

In my coverage, I mentioned a scene in which Jason is naked in the shower. This has apparently led some corners of the internet to conclude that I was treated to a full-frontal reveal of one of GTA 6’s leading men. For the sake of journalistic accuracy, I feel compelled to clarify: I did not see Jason’s penis.

Yes, Jason was naked. Yes, he was in the shower. But thanks to some carefully positioned camera angles, his modesty remained entirely intact. Whatever Rockstar has or hasn’t rendered beneath the belt remains a mystery to me, just as it does to you. Yes, that naughty leaker has been at it again , but we can't be sure when that footage was taken, which "assets" are just for the developer builds, and what will make it into the final game.

I appreciate that this may be disappointing news to those hoping for an exclusive report on the state of Jason’s anatomy, but I can only write about what I’ve actually seen. And trust me, if I had seen it, you would have gotten more than a single sentence.

Of course, if Jason does indeed have a fully-rendered penis, he won't be the first GTA character to have one. Grand Theft Auto 5 offered a semi-obscured look at Trevor's crown jewels during a custcene. Meanwhile, players who explored the mountains surrounding Los Santos will have come across the Altruist Cult, which features several fully-nude members (ahem) among its number.

The fact that nudity will be in the game had previously been confirmed by the leaked European PEGI rating for GTA 6 . "There are also strong sexual themes, including nudity, scenes of intercourse and occasional scenes of sexual fetishes," it revealed. "In various night clubs the player can also pay for private dances, during which, the game allows the player to move their hands onto the dancers’ breasts and buttocks." It stopped short of confirming full-frontal nudity, though.
