Preorder any version of Metro 2039, and you’ll receive the Specialist Pack. It includes in-game blueprints for the following backpack upgrades:

Equipment Specialist Pouch - For gunsmiths who want to focus on crafting advanced weapons and gear more quickly.

Chemtech Specialist Pouch - For explorers who want to brave radioactive areas with more gas mask filters and cleaner, more reliable equipment.

Munitions Specialist Pouch - For marksmen looking to find and use rarer, more powerful ammunition types in their firearms.

As indicated by its title, Metro 2039 takes place in the year 2039. In the Metro timeline, it takes place after Metro 2033 (which came out in 2010), Metro: Last Light (2013), and Metro Exodus (2019). The nuclear apocalypse has been in effect for a quarter century. Most survivors in Moscow have been living in the metro tunnels under the city, and after years of conflict, they’ve united under “a fanatical Spartan” known as Hunter. Hunter is a tyrannical leader, ruling with “propaganda and fear.”

You play as the Stranger, a recluse who’s been living outside the city. As luck would have it, the game picks up just as you need to go on a dangerous mission back into the metro tunnels. Cue irradiated monster fights, gun battles with rival survivors, and a healthy dose of stealthy sneaking. Check out our hands-on preview for more information.
