New Werwulf Trailer and Tie-In Video Game Revealed

Focus Features is releasing all its major marketing and asset reveals for director Robert Eggers’ Werwulf according to the calendar of the full moon . That’s why the new trailer for the medieval horror film dropped today.

Werwulf follows a 13th-century farmer (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), who is cursed to live as a werewolf. Lily-Rose Depp plays his wife and the mother of his children, while Willem Dafoe, Ralph Ineson, and Jack Morris play a trio of wolf hunters on a mission to kill the werewolf.

In addition to the trailer, Focus also announced the Werwulf Alternate Reality Game today.

The game is timed to each of the full moons between September through November 2026 and, according to what Focus revealed, “culminates in a mysterious prize for those that complete all three moons each full moon.”

Players can visit DevourethAllMankynde.com where they need “to seek out a hidden ‘sign’ on various digital platforms and decipher the sign back into the site in order to fulfill the moon. The catch is, you only get 24 hours each full moon to search for the sign before it disappears so you’ll need to work fast to find it.” The first clue can be found here .

Werwulf opens in cinemas on December 25.
