One of the most exciting deals for movie buffs has just begun: you can save 50% on a ton of Criterion Collection films on Amazon . These movies are certified classics, with high-quality 4K transfers and bonus features that respect the craft of filmmaking, all done up in thoughtful, high-quality packaging. Criterion makes physical movies for cinephiles, and you won’t find better prices any time of year.

Godzilla: The Showa-Era Films, 1954–1975 (The Criterion Collection) (Blu-ray)

KPop Demon Hunters (The Criterion Collection) (4K UHD)

Frankenstein (The Criterion Collection) (4K UHD)

The Princess Bride (The Criterion Collection) (4K UHD)

The Wes Anderson Archive: Ten Films, Twenty-Five Years (The Criterion Collection) (4K UHD)

This Black Friday sale runs from November 6 to December 7 , which is a surprisingly long time in the world of commerce. However, if you’re interested in taking advantage of any deals, I’d recommend you buy sooner rather than later. Popular items in sales like this tend to sell out at Amazon, and are unlikely to come back before the deals end. With that in mind, let’s look at what’s on sale.

As for what’s on sale, it’s nearly everything in the Criterion Collection. That includes timeless classics like Citizen Kane and Dr. Strangelove. It also includes new additions like KPop Demon Hunters and Gullermo del Toro’s recent adaptation of Frankenstein, which originally appeared on Netflix. David Lynch movies like Inland Empire, Lost Highway, and Mulholland Dr. are included. Comedies like The Princess Bride, Dazed and Confused, and Fast Times at Ridgemont High are there as well.

The Silence of the Lambs (The Criterion Collection) (4K UHD)

Seven Samurai (The Criterion Collection) (4K UHD)

No Country for Old Men (The Criterion Collection) (4K UHD)

It’s not just individual movies, either. You can save half off the Wes Anderson Archive, which bundles 10 of the director’s films together. There’s a Godzilla collection and Bruce Lee’s Greatest Hits.

In many cases, the movies are available on Blu-ray as well as 4K UHD, so you can choose which format works best for you. For more, check out our full breadth of Black Friday coverage , or check out our list of release dates for the biggest upcoming Blu-ray and 4K UHD movies and TV shows.
