The Miami Heat Will Wear GTA 6-Themed Uniforms in a November Match Against Milwaukee

The Miami Heat is heading to Vice City for its next NBA match against the Milwaukee Bucks. The one-night-only event, hosted live on ESPN, has been dubbed A Night in Vice City , and will see the home team donning an “all-new uniform on a never-before-seen court.”

Presumably, this means the team is sponsored by Take-Two and Rockstar Games for a GTA 6 marketing stunt. As they go, this is one of the cooler ones.

The event will take place at the Kaseya Center at 7pm EST/ 4pm PT on November 18, the day before GTA launches. A bunch of fancy crossover merch has also appeared on the Miami Heat store , celebrating Vice City.

Yesterday, the top of the Kaseya Center , home of The Heat, was lit up to usher in the collaboration between Rockstar and Miami’s home team. This followed a lengthy negotiation with local officials over the extent to which Rockstar could use Miami as a base for creative advertising.

GTA 6 takes place in Leonida, a fictional recreation of Florida housing its jewel, a virtual recreation of Miami called Vice City. In-game, the Kaseya Center is dubbed the Sahara Arena.

Other studios are taking notice of what Rockstar is doing in the lead-up to launch. Earlier, one of the founders of the studio behind Kingdom Come: Deliverance held up GTA 6’s pricing as a potential turning point for the industry and video game prices in general.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick previously commented on GTA 6’s price speculation, saying: “Consumers pay for the value that you bring to them, and our job is to charge way way way less of the value delivery.

GTA 6 costs $79.99 for the Standard Edition. The Ultimate Edition, which includes extra in-game content, costs $99.99. GTA 6 releases for PS5 and Xbox Series consoles on November 19.
