A Blast Furnace for the Blacksmith is a main quest in Enshrouded that has you search the Albaneve Summits for the materials to make a new Production Place for your Blacksmith. It’s dangerous, and you’ll have to enter the frosty mountains to complete it, but it’s a relatively quick trip to find what you need. This walkthrough will show you how to get in and out with minimal frostbite.

For tips on how to have the best experience in Enshrouded, check out the following pages:

How to Start A Blast Furnace for the Blacksmith

To start A Blast Furnace for the Blacksmith, you must first have entered the Albaneve Summits region. The easiest way to do that is to enter through the Passage to the Albaneve Summits above East Lapis in the Kindlewastes. Once that’s done, speak to the Blacksmith about “The Forge Of The Summits” to begin this quest.

How to Complete A Blast Furnace for the Blacksmith

To complete A Blast Furnace for the Blacksmith, you need to craft a Blast Furnace and place it in your settlement. The recipe for the Blast Furnace requires:

Fired Bricks x20: Made at the Kiln from Clay and Wood Logs

Lump of Clay x10: Mined in the Revelwood

Iron Bars x10: Made at the Smelter from Iron Ore and Charcoal

Sand x30: Mined from the Nomad Highlands or Kindlewastes

Of all the items you need, the Bellows will be the only one to present any real difficulty at this point. You need to liberate it from scavengers at the Gateway Outpost “Alba” northeast of the Albaneve Summits Ancient Spire. There’s a frozen river running in the same direction with a road running parallel to it. Glide down and continue along the road on foot and it’ll take you all the way to the steps of the outpost.

Once inside the outpost head through the doorway on your right. Inside, you’ll find a Scavenger Tyrant, and they aren’t too thrilled about you being there.

Tyrants hit hard with a long reach, but they’re also slow, with long breaks between attacks. Block or dodge their attacks and follow them up with a few strikes of your own before they go back on the offensive.

With the Tyrant defeated, loot the bellows and bring it back to your settlement to build the Blast Furnace and complete the quest. You’ll earn 700 XP and you can now smelt Steel and Silver Bars!
