Beats by Dre teased a collaboration with Pokémon earlier this week. We now know what exactly that collaboration involves: a new Pokémon-themed Beats Pill.

The special-edition Beats Pill features images of two Pokémon: Pikachu and Mimikyu. Yep, a Gen 7 Pokméon is actually getting some merch love. The wireless speaker, which joins the endless list of Pokémon’s 30th anniversary celebrations, is now available at both Apple and Target for $149.99.

Pokemon Edition Beats Pill Speaker Now Available

The special-edition émon speaker is a new colorway for the latest Beats Pill. This model was originally released in 2024 with an MSRP of $149.99, the same price as the new Pokémon edition.

The big upgrade was sound quality. The 2024 upgrade comes with a re-designed "racetrack" woofer that displaces up to 90% more air for a clearer bass and less distortion. A slightly tilted angle also helps project the speaker’s sound into listeners’ ears instead of toward the table or floor. While the new model returned to mono architecture, you can pair it with another Beats Pill for Amplify or Stereo Mode.

The wireless speaker offers up to 24 hours of battery life in addition to a quick-charging “Fast Fuel” mode that gets you two hours of battery life off of 10 minutes of charging. It comes with USB-C connectivity and supports reverse charging, meaning you can use the speaker as a power bank for your phone or other compatible devices.

The speaker is also rated IP67 for dust and water resistance, making it a great pick for pool parties and beach days.

As for the Pokémon design? Well, it’s… interesting. The speaker itself is largely grey, with Mimikyu appearing in a grey-scale. Color is reserved for the classic yellow hues and red cheeks of Pikachu, who has a somewhat confused expression. Small lightning bolt details decorate the surrounding speaker.
