Officially Licensed Fallout Bookends Are Up for Preorder for a Whopping $325

The Fallout series is one of the most popular video game franchises of all time. Naturally, that means there's a ton of Fallout merch.

Like any product tied to a specific IP, you can always expect some sort of markup on officially licensed products. However, these recently announced Fallout bookends are taking that to a whole new level with a price tag of $325 at Sideshow .

While $325 isn't unheard of for a hand-painted collectible figure, it does seem like an excessive price to pay for a set of bookends. Just to put it in perspective, you can currently get a semi-functional Pip-Boy replica from the IGN Store for only $300. Dark Horse also recently launched, in my opinion, a much cooler set of Fallout bookends for only $179.99 .

So what exactly is making these bookends so expensive? In addition to the licensing fee to collaborate with Bethesda on the product, these bookends apparently weigh four pounds each. They're "meticulously sculpted from polyresin" and individually hand-painted to achieve the antique metal effects the Fallout series is known for.

The official Fallout bookends are available to preorder now with an estimated shipping window of November 2026 - January 2027. According to Sideshow's shipping policy, the company does offer 30 days for returns if you aren't happy with your purchase once you get your hands on it.

Would You Spend $325 for Fallout Bookends?

As someone who has a lot of books and a number of bookends to hold them in place, it seems wild to me that someone would spend this much money for something like this. That being said, I'm not exactly a Fallout superfan with tons of disposable income, so I'm likely not the target market for such a product.

If you're someone who regularly spends a lot of money on collectibles, I'm genuinely curious if this seems like a worthwhile product to drop $350.
