Bastion - Phantom Blade Zero Guide - IGN

Bastion is an interesting Phantom Edge because it's the first largely defensive one you'll come across. Working as a shield that can also knock enemies around and deal some damage, you'll want Bastion equipped for mitigating large attacks while looking to deal a bit of that damage back at an enemy with a powerful counterattack. Bastion comes stocked with a base damage of 226 and a base Guard Break of 198.

You can use Bastion outside of combat for a few specific spots to block incoming damage and access areas that would otherwise kill you upon entering. These spots will be marked with R2 when approaching.

You'll get the Bastion Phantom Edge in Phantom Blade 0 by defeating the boss Zhuo Bi, the Gatekeeper in the Village of Lu.

The Bastion abilities read as follows: Hold R2 to raise Bastion and block all enemy attacks. While it is raised, press L1 to shove away enemies in front. Keeping Bastion raised continuously consumes Sha-Chi, and blocking attacks consumes additional Sha-Chi. When Sha-Chi is depleted, the shield shatters. Consumes 1 Remnant Spark

Reprisal Shockwave : Hold R2 to raise Bastion and guard against attacks. Release R2 before Sha-Chi is depleted to slam the shield into the ground, unleashing a powerful shockwave. The more damage absorbed while guarding, the more powerful the shockwave.

Bolt Ward: Blocks bolts fired by repeating crossbow mechanisms, even when not equipped.
