Marvel Unveils Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 Prequel Comic
Just ahead of the return of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man on Disney+, Marvel will launch a new prequel comic bridging the gap between seasons of the show.
Spider-Man fans have been impatiently waiting for the animated series Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man to make its return on Disney+. The wait finally ends early in 2027, but that's not all. Marvel Comics is also launching a new Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man prequel comic in December.
As with the previous series and the various X-Men '97 comics , Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is designed to bridge the gap between Season 1 and 2 of the animated series, revolving around a new conspiracy within Oscorp that springs up after Norman Osborn's downfall in Season 1.
As with the first Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man comic, the new series is written by Christos Gage and drawn by Eric Gapstur. Here's the official summary for the series:
Peter Parker is ready to save the world thwip by thwip! But things aren’t perfect. He’s been drifting away from his friends. And Norman Osborn may be out of the spider business, but Harry doesn’t think things are over just yet. Something’s happening at Oscorp, and Spidey and his friends need to figure out what it is!
