Caitlin Clark is absolutely thrilled to be part of the roster for the FIBA World Cup in Berlin. The Fever icon is part of this tournament for the very first time and has already become among the most popular names in the squad before the games can even begin.

With Clark's incredible dominance in the W, her name is obviously a shoo-in for the starting line-up. But, this is not so in reality. It does not seem like head coach Kara Lawson will for sure put Clark in a starting spot, and may even bench her.

This has not exactly been confirmed yet, but even speculations of this are already riling up Clark fans. Rachel DeMita discussed the topic recently and admitted worrying that the massive Clark fan-army will be putting up a huge hue and cry if their icon does not play.

"I think there's going to be a lot of noise if and when she doesn't start, but I'm not sure she's going to start. I just don't know how they're going to play it… If they're going to let seniority start… players who have kind of been here before, even if they're not technically better players than the ones that are on the bench." Rachel DeMita said.

Lawson and Team USA have not officially made their decision regarding Caitlin Clark and whether she will be part of the starting lineup for the team. It is expected that Lawson may decide to go with the other senior players in the team out of respect, even if players like Clark and others may be able to give a lot more.

Caitlin Clark Reveals Excitement To Play Alongside Fever Teammate

Caitlin Clark is obviously pretty thrilled to play in the World Cup, but seems to be more thrilled to be playing alongside her Fever teammate on an international stage. Just like Clark, Aliyah Boston too will be making her debut in the tournament. Caitlin admitted to reporters recently that she is definitely excited to wear the USA jersey and also happy to play alongside Boston in the World Cup.

Apart from Clark and Boston, Team USA will also be seeing players like Angel Reese and Paige Bueckers make their debut as well. Of course, there are chances that none of these players may see a spot in the starting line-up and may even see time on the bench.
