Raiders claim drafted guard from Seahawks Super Bowl roster off waivers
The Raiders made another move Thursday to add depth at the guard spot with Klint Kubiak pulling from his Super Bowl squad in Seattle.
Just prior to their season opener Wednesday night, the Seahawks waived guard Bryce Cabeldue . And Thursday the Raiders scooped him up, claiming the 2025 sixth rounder off waivers.
Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak was the new OC in Seattle when Cabeldue was drafted by the Seahawks with the 192nd overall pick out of Kansas. So, he is undoubtedly quite familiar with his work, not only in the draft process, but as a member of the Seahawks throughout last year's camp and regular season.
The rookie appeared in eight games in Seattle, seeing 24 snaps on offense and 32 on special teams, earning a Super Bowl ring as part of the team.
The 6-4, 308-pounder will add depth at the guard spot for the Raiders. Prior to the announcement of a corresponding move, the other guards on the Raiders roster include starters Spencer Burford and Jackson Powers-Johnson along with Caleb Rogers and Atonio Mafi .
