Embark Studios has launched the Frozen Trail 2.0 update for ARC Raiders on October 8, 2026, calling it the biggest update since the game's launch. The patch adds a new map, new enemies, new weapons, a reworked Skill Tree, and a fresh progression system. The game is also free to play from October 8 to 12, making it a good time to jump in. In the section below, we take a detailed look at the new Frozen Trail 2.0 update in Arc Raiders.Everything to know about Arc Raiders Frozen Trail 2.0 updateHere is a complete breakdown of everything new in the Arc Raiders Frozen Trail 2.0 update:Pendola Pass and New Map ConditionsThe headline addition is Pendola Pass, a new map that comes with two new map conditions, Frigate and Redirection. Embark is also using it to test a Dynamic Loot Zone system, exclusive to this map for now. Loot values in certain areas will vary from raid to raid, so routes become less predictable. Zones keep their inherent loot type, meaning a Residential area stays Residential, but how much value it yields changes between raids.New Enemies and WeaponsThree new enemies arrive: the Bully, the Skulker, and the Hydra. On the weapons side, the Bantam and the Stiletto join the arsenal. The Bantam takes over the role of the uncommon hand cannon, because the fan-favorite Anvil has been bumped from Green to Blue rarity. The Anvil Splitter can no longer be used as a mod and becomes an upgrade option for the new Amplified Anvil, which is part of the new Amplified Weapons system.Explosive damage has also been reworked. Weapons like the Hullcracker now deal over 50% more damage to armor plates but around 30% less to fragile parts.New Items and MobilityThe update introduces a Grappling Hook, Basic and Advanced Cameras, a Tether Launcher, a Yank Grenade, a Mountaineer's Detector, and a Banjo and Harmonica. To keep mobility gear distinct, the Snap Hook now has a shorter 18m range, uses more durability, and costs more power, positioning it as a burst-movement tool. Players can also scramble up steep slopes by sprinting at them. The Outpost and Weapon StencilsA new Outpost can be unlocked by completing a project, and it comes with a Research Bench. Remember to bring a camera, since the first step requires photographing a farmland house. There are 100 Furniture Designs in total, with 73 found Topside.Weapon Stencils are a new cosmetic option, with 14 available: eight found Topside, five exclusive to the Frozen Trail Premium Pass, and one exclusive to DLC. Stenciled weapons can still be looted by other Raiders if you're downed.Skill Tree Revamp and Reward PassThe Skill Tree has been rebuilt. Each branch's midpoint is now a binary choice between two skills, while each branch end lets you pick up to two of three skills. The new Reward Pass system replaces Raider Decks, and Cred is gone, replaced by Reward Points. The Frozen Trail Pass has 60 levels across Free and Premium tracks, while old Decks move to a Legacy Pass. Feats are also split into Easy, Medium, and Hard tiers, and 22 new quests were added.Other ChangesMax stash size rises by two levels to 328 slots without Expedition bonuses. "Solo vs. Squads" matchmaking has been removed for re-evaluation, and Riven Tides loot value rose roughly 15%. Twitch Drops for an Oxygen Respirator and a Mailbox run until November 4.With a new map, three enemy types, and a reworked progression system, Frozen Trail is a major shake-up. Embark has listed several known issues, including Outpost bugs and Pendola Pass clipping, with fixes planned.Stay updated with the latest Asian Games 2026 news, check the Asian Games medal tally and complete Asian Games schedule.Get the latest Sports News and Live updates.
