IEM Rio 2024 has arrived! We continue improving your CS2 viewing experience on FACEIT Watch ! Our commitment to delivering the best for our community drives us to build new features and improvements that make your engagement with esports even more exciting.

Since the beginning of FACEIT Watch , we’ve been dedicated to building a more interactive way to enjoy content, featuring multi-POV options that let you watch up to four player perspectives and a main map POV for real-time strategy analysis. You can earn valuable skins and FACEIT Points just by tuning in to your favorite events, instant access to VODs for catching up on past matches with multiple perspectives, and the convenience to easily clip and share legendary plays from any player’s POV on social media.

With IEM Rio just around the corner, we’re excited to show you some updates and features designed for you:

New Chromecast capabilities: We’re super excited to share that you can now watch FACEIT Watch on your TV with our new Chromecast capabilities , which will be available in beta for IEM Rio! This means you can kick back and enjoy all the action right from your living room or Android TV. With access of up to 2 POVs on the Chromecast version. We’ve been hard at work refining FACEIT Watch. Here’s what’s new:

New CDN in Asia: A new CDN mirror has been deployed in Singapore, improving video streaming performance for our Asian users. This change, implemented on September 12th, ensures faster load times and smoother playback.

Miniplayer: Lets you keep watching your favorite content even when you leave the watch tab. Seamlessly viewing videos while navigating through other tabs on FACEIT.

Video Player Updates: Redesigned controls for easier navigation, including new buttons, volume controls, and a seek bar.

Support was added for playing streams on iOS devices.

Bug fixes including proper seeking in multiview and improved mobile support with double-tap-to-seek functionality.

Game Insights: The highlight feature will now deliver the most accurate, current information when you subscribe.

Chat: We now have a character limit for chat messages. Also some bug fixes including improved chat icon performance and crash fixes.

Backend Improvements: View-count tracking for VODs is now available, so you can see how many times content has been watched.

Stability improvements: in game stats and bug fixes related to score tracking and highlights.
