It’s been another four thrilling months of Counter-Strike as amateur and pro players alike race for that coveted top spot on the FACEIT Matchmaking leaderboards and their share of $100,000, as well as bragging rights and a stamp for up-and-coming players to show on their esports passport. Once again, donk has proven to be truly inevitable in his path to yet another victory, racking up a total of 5075 Elo — even more than he accrued last season!
The young prince of Counter-Strike hasn’t relented one bit this season, and racked up over 200 extra Elo this time round to firmly place himself at the very top once again! With a gap of 223 Elo over his next-closest contender and a third consecutive triumph over the rest of the world, what will it take to dethrone him? The task certainly isn’t easy: with a 69% win rate over 357 matches this season, bolstered by an impressive suite of stats, it would take an equally prodigal talent to even come close!
Want to know what it takes to play at donk ’s level, even against the best players in the world? We’ve got the recipe:
First, mix together the key ingredients to make sure your firepower is up to scratch:
Make sure to sprinkle in 10 knife kills and 1 Zeus for extra style, and maybe then you’ve got what it takes to challenge him!
While donk may have been too much to handle once again, the rest of the EU region has fought hard for their share of the prize money, with kyousuke from Spirit Academy and m0NESY from G2 rounding out the top 3 for a particularly young podium — the future of Counter-Strike looks scarier than ever!
NA After coming second last season, dea has claimed the top spot this time round, making a statement by blazing nearly 200 Elo ahead of Peeping and alter , who have both climbed 3 spots over their Season 2 placement — can one of them go all the way next time?
SA In South America, it’s pepe ’s turn to be crowned our champion, narrowly edging out Misfit to clinch the top spot and proving his worth as an up-and-coming talent, while clon7 closes out the podium. No other region has seen their leaderboard shaken up so much since last season: with only pepe and kye managing to keep their place among the top 10, who knows who the next champion may be?
On the other side of the world, our Asian leaderboard has been topped by Sange with 3978 Elo, followed by Anasasis and Crunchy
Meanwhile, the boys at SemperFi have locked up the entire Oceanic podium! shadiy leads the way with an impressive 4688 Elo, while his teammates keen and vision round up the top 3 in a true show of force for the team.
Over the next week, we’ll be handing out top 1000 badges to all winning players once correctly reassigned to the region they’ve played the most matches in this season — congratulations on your hard-earned prize!
That’s a wrap for FACEIT Matchmaking Season 3! We’re looking forward to Season 4, which is just around the corner with new heights to reach, fresh competition, a new Elo reset on season start and a couple surprises for you all coming later this month… Stay tuned to find out more!
